workwelle
the platform for modern, working mothers
Reimagining the landscape for working mothers
Modern working mothers deserve comprehensive support that bridges professional ambition and family life. We're committed to creating structures that honour the complex, multifaceted identities of mothers across all career paths—from corporate roles to entrepreneurship, part-time to full-time work.
Our mission: Empower working mothers to seamlessly integrate their personal, professional, and family goals.
The truth is, outdated working structures have long penalised women for their caregiving roles, creating invisible barriers that systematically undermine professional advancement & personal development.
THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN FACING
ISOLATION & LONELINESS
Self-employed mothers often miss out on the network of support that can come from traditional employment settings. Without the benefits of a structured workplace, such as colleagues for emotional support, formal maternity leave, and other parental benefits, they can feel isolated and overwhelmed.
WELLBEING DEFICIT
The mental load of juggling a business and childcare, often without sufficient support, can lead to burnout, stress, and other mental health challenges. However, societal discourse still largely underplays these mental health issues, leaving mothers feeling isolated in their struggles. Workwelle is committed to banishing this stigma by fostering open conversations about mental health, offering resources for self-care, and ensuring mothers feel seen, heard, and supported in their journey towards wellbeing.
THE FLEXIBILITY MYTH
Traditional work environments and societal expectations have not evolved quickly enough to accommodate the flexible needs of self-employed mothers. There’s a stark lack of policies, such as flexible working hours or child care provisions, that consider the irregular schedules and unpredictable demands of both entrepreneurship and motherhood.
BARRIERS TO GROWTH
Access to professional growth opportunities can be significantly limited due to time constraints, childcare responsibilities, and at times, societal bias. The ambition and career aspirations of these women are often overlooked, hindering their potential for professional advancement. Workwelle actively works to dismantle these barriers, offering a jobs board, professional & development frameworks, and accountability systems designed to nurture the careers of these ambitious women on their own terms.
